Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program for the Public

  • Do you have a cat or kitten who needs to be spayed or neutered (fixed)?
  • Stymied by the high costs of some vet offices?
  • We are pleased to offer a low-cost spay/neuter option for the Sacramento area…

$45 includes sterilization, FVRCP vaccination and transportation
Only $5 more for rabies! $15 more for a microchip!

Dogs up to 20 lbs. in a small or medium hard-sided carrier and at least 4 months old – $100
(See LCSN Registration Form for Dogs below)
Feral cats – $25 and ear will be notched/tip cut off
(See Feral LCSN Registration Form for Cats below)

WHO qualifies:

  • Cats/kittens weighing at least 2 pounds
  • Cats/kittens at least 2 months old
  • Must be healthy
  • Must be friendly
    • If you have a feral cat (feral cats don’t belong to anyone; they’re just getting fixed and released), see the Feral LCSN Interest Form below. The tip of the cat’s ear will be cut off so that others know they have been fixed.
    • NOTE: If your cat was originally feral, but you have taken it in and are giving it a home, then use the LCSN Registration Form for Cats.

WHAT is included:

  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • FVRCP 3-1 vaccination (vaccination for major upper respiratory diseases) if due
  • FVRCP must be given prior to surgery – we can arrange for this at the registration appointment

  • If you want to add a rabies shot, add $5 (Note: cats must be a minimum of 3 months old)
  • If you want to add a microchip, add $15
  • If you want an FeLV/FIV (feline leukemia/feline AIDS) test, add $20
